Local House Clearance Specialists

We are your local house clearance specialists, better known as Essex House Clearances. We provide house clearance, probate clearance and property clearance services across most of Essex. We’re a small family and friends-run business serving with extensive experience, based locally and operating not just Witham but most parts of Essex including Braintree, Tiptree, Colchester, Chelmsford, Wickford, Brentwood and so on.
We provide a friendly, personal and efficient service, which is why we get so many of our clients through word of mouth and personal recommendation. We provide house clearance services across most of Essex, and are happy to accept both large and small jobs.
We know that many house clearances follow unhappy family events and we do our best to be as discreet and efficient as possible, particularly when this is the case.
Most of our work comes to us from personal referrals but we are also happy to work with property or estate agents either on a one-off or regular basis.
Prior to accepting any clearance we undertake a free assessment to allow us to assess how many staff and vans will be needed, and no job is too big. So, if you need a house clearance in Witham or anywhere else in the areas we cover, please use our quote request form to get the ball rolling.
Ethical House Clearance Services
Firstly, it’s worth pointing out that the Witham House Clearances website is one of the Essex House Clearances group of websites and we are fully licenced by the UK Environmental Agency with a full ‘Upper Tier’ Waste Carrier’s Licence’ (as carriers and brokers). Reycling and Rehoming Items
More often than not, when we’re asked to undertake a house clearance we come across items which, even if they have no significant resale value, are perfectly usable. This might include furniture, clothes and general household effects. It’s horribly wasteful to throw such things away so we always try to rehome them through local charities and other groups who can either donate them to those in need or sell them through their charity shop outlets.
Where items have no realistic hope of being reused, these are taken to a commercial recycling plant, in accordance with the terms of our licence, where they are broken down into component parts to ensure everything possible is recycled. We do not take anything to landfill or to local ‘council dumps’.
If a house clearance includes items with a genuine resale value, we may consider buying these items from you to reduce the clearance costs, and this can be discussed during our pre-quote assessment visit.
